Datum is a free tool for comparing tire and wheel sizes. These terms are short and written in plain English. By using the site you agree to them.
What Datum is
Datum is a free calculator and a set of guides. It works out geometric estimates from the numbers you enter. It is not engineering, safety, legal or professional advice, and it does not guarantee that any tire, wheel or combination will fit, work or be safe on any vehicle. Read Accuracy and limits for what the results can and cannot tell you.
Your responsibility
You decide what to buy and fit. Before you do, check with your vehicle’s maker, the tire and wheel makers and a qualified installer, follow the load and speed ratings that apply to your vehicle, and follow the laws where you drive. If you rely on a result from Datum, you do so at your own risk.
Using the site
You may use Datum for personal or business research. Please do not:
- use it for anything unlawful;
- interfere with it, overload it, probe it for weaknesses or get around its protections;
- send automated requests at a rate that harms the service (ordinary personal tools and search-engine crawling are fine);
- present results as approved or endorsed by us.
You are welcome to link to Datum and to share links to your comparisons.
Our content and other people’s
The text, drawings, design and code of Datum belong to its operator, or are used under licence, and all rights are reserved. You may view and print pages for your own use, share links, and quote short extracts with credit and a link back. For anything more, such as copying the tool or the guides, please ask first.
Datum is built with open-source software and fonts that stay under their own licences. They are listed in the third-party notices. Tire, wheel and vehicle brand names mentioned on the site belong to their owners, and Datum is not affiliated with them.
No warranty
Datum is provided “as is” and “as available”. We give no warranty of any kind, express or implied, including about accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose, availability or freedom from errors. The site may contain mistakes, and it may change or stop working at any time.
Limit of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, the operator of Datum is not liable for any loss or damage that comes from using the site or relying on it, including indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, damage to a vehicle, tire, wheel or other property, injury or accident. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability for all claims is limited to US$100.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that the law does not allow to be excluded or limited, such as liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. If you are a consumer, you may have legal rights that these terms do not affect. Some places do not allow some of the exclusions above, so they may not apply to you.
Links to other sites
If Datum links to another website, we do not control it and are not responsible for it.
Changes
We may change the site and these terms. The date at the top shows when the terms last changed. If you keep using the site after a change, you accept the new terms.
